Vienna Bathroom Remodel is a local site run by Bathroom Brigade, the bathroom remodeling division of Kenney Construction. Kenney Construction is a locally owned general contractor based in Herndon, in western Fairfax County, founded by Frank Kenney in 2019 and licensed, insured and bonded in Virginia (DPOR #2705187519). The company that writes your scope is the company that does the work; it is not passed to an outside subcontractor.

What makes a Vienna bathroom remodel different

Two things come up again and again with Vienna homeowners. The first is age. Vienna was a rural town of about 1,200 people in 1940; the Town's own history describes nearly 10,000 newcomers arriving in the postwar rush to the suburbs, many of them buying homes in new subdivisions through the 1950s. Plenty of those houses still have bathrooms that have been updated once, or not at all, and what sits behind the tile in a bathroom that age is a real planning question.

The second is jurisdiction. Vienna is an incorporated town inside Fairfax County, and many homes with a Vienna mailing address sit outside the Town limits. For a bathroom remodel, building permits come from Fairfax County either way: the Town of Vienna states that the County serves as the building official. Inside the Town, some projects also need a Town zoning submission. A purely interior bathroom above the basement usually does not, but a basement bath or work that changes the outside of the house can.
